These are stamps made up into long strips and rolled up for use in vending machines. Most issues were used at some point in the machines. The King’s Heads had imperforate straight edges and are easy to recognise. There were four values of this issue. Later issues are generally only identifiable by having the side perforations cut square by a guillotine. The exception is the single colour issue of 1943, which was a wartime measure. Almost all of the coils were only issued in ½d or 1d values, however a 2d Pictorial was issued in 1931, but this value is scarce.
